Price drop on my 1ds Mk II, was $4350 - NOW $4150 SHIPPED.

I need to get this thing moving asap... Accepting part trades of a 5d + cash.

Sorry Matt, still in the "yeah, I wish!" bucket for me.

On another note, does anyone have any idea why my 40D would not be tracking birds using AI-Servo when my 30D has no issue? All settings were the same as far as I could see

Does the 40D have some sort of custom function for focusing point priority or summint?

Would any one know of any program i could use to back up my sms messages from my phone to the computer? I have quite a few that i would rather keep but of course for all that the new phone takes the same memory card, it wont find anything from the old phone that is on it.

Ive tried Mobile Master but it just chucks up errors when using the back up tool and JMC Windows Mobile just sits and does nothing.

The old one is a Nokia 6500s.

Just trying the latest version of the nokia suite thing over the one that came with it. Dont hold out much hope.

No worries Dan.

Not sure on the 40d problem, I didn't own mine long enough I guess!! I would just suggest a double check of your settings and custom functions.

I would've thought that the software you got with the phone would be able to do this.

Well the updated version is backing it up at least. But i wish there was some way to copy the messages (or at least, some of them) to the new phone. The Mobile Master looks like it can do this, but it wont do anything when backing up thanks to the errors.

Do they not just transfer accross on your SIM card??

Ive got a few, but the SIM cant store as many as the phone can (like 15 or something). When I have over 1400 on the phone, it is a bit hard to go back and find 15 only.

Still looking for something that will transfer them across. But I will probably settle with the nokia suite back up.

I was pretty sure PCSuite could do that. Maybe not every phone is supported?

You can get SIM card reader things from the Telstra shop that let you access the data on the SIM card directly. Depends how the phone has stored it though.

Perhaps. Ill keep looking after the back up is done. If not then ah well, they are only text messages.

The new phone has enough to keep me distracted for long enough to not worry about them at least.

Photo tax time for me now, taken from a bus going over the river. Anyone care to pick what is new? ;)
