Now if anyone knows anyone who wants a 1969 Valiant Wayfarer Utility with a 5.2L V8, engine only has 11,000 miles on it, but the car is in good-ish condition, OR a 1964 Studebaker Cruiser in very good condition, 289cid V8, running on LPG, then I might have some spare cash upon sale....

are you serious?

Yep. Getting rid of both of them due to lack of use. They really need to go to a good home, someone who has the time and money to keep them in fine working order (and in the case of the Valiant, to restore her to her former glory).

ok. my friend who moved up from adelaide is after a classic. I'd vouch for him in terms of someone having time and money to really enjoy one or the other.

you wouldnt' happen to have pics that I could forward him do you, and also an indication of how much you'd let them go for? I just gave him a call, and he was interested particularly in the Studebaker.

Well there's a few shots around of the Studebaker, but these are fairly indicative.

The paintwork on the boot and roof needs attention (crazing), but then it was painted in 1983 so it's probably due for a respray. There's some minor upholstery work that needs to be done, but I could probably do that before sale.
She runs on 100% LPG (not dual fuel), and is fairly economical for a 44year old V8 (around 17mpg on the highway, 15mpg mixed). I had the engine overhauled about 5 years ago and she's done about 6,000 miles since then.
I'm looking for around $15,000 (neg).
Comes with a heap of spare parts, panels, chrome work and a spare diff (heavy duty one that I've not got around to installing).

The Valiant is much cheaper - after around $4k (very neg), but it needs some rust work on the body, and the auto needs reconditioning and the LPG system needs to be looked at (duel fuel, but currently petrol only).

Oh such a lovely Stude!

I've forwarded them on to him and rang him up so he knows the photos are on the way. He's very interested in the Stude.

Ah cool :) 'twould be good to see it go to a good home.

I also have an extensive support network for it (Studebaker Car Club).

Work was fine. What WASN'T cool was the little snotty children (probably on drugs) who decided to smash off all of my front head light protectors. They are the fancy expensive Toyota ones too. I hate people.:evil::evil::evil:

Love the club shot :) Sorry to hear about the vandals ... you're right, people suck.

I finally got a few images dealt with (more or less, but good enough for now) from my recent trip to the Florida Keys. Popped a thread up here if anyone is interested.

I'm so over winter - our mornings are freezing cold!! blech.

And now you know exactly why I don't go to the cinema, although my Holden would probably be less of a target than a Toyota.

Never judge a person till you walk a mile in their shoes - by then it won't matter. You are a mile away and they have no shoes.
