Walking past a local bank tonight, they were selling Autralian Dollar at 77c US OUCH

Hmmm, so who was it who said to wait until next week? :p

But 77 is still way higher than it was a scant what 18 months? 2 years? ago.

Nah, it was around 85-88 then (I remember because I bought a couple of watches in USD) It was 50-55 a couple of years before that I think.

Edit: just downloaded the historical data from RBA. It was in the 50's from 2000 to 2002, and dropped to 49 at one point in Sept 2001. Today's rate of 80.65 suddenly doesn't look so bad :)

hehee, I remember when it crashed...I was over there with hubby and the two boys at DisneyWorld and suddenly the money we had stuck on the credit card in advance didn't go nearly as far LOL

I'm so used to traveling and buying when it's been in the 60s or 70s that it still seems "normal" to me ... but boy do I wish I'd changed cash a month ago!

A shopping question for you...I'm looking for some photo frames for 8x12 prints ... anyone have any clue where to shop for these (preferably pro rates). I've looked at coralcoast.com.au and just don't see any...

Anyone know where to find cheap peilican cases? shipping its around 100 USD from ebay or B&H for the 1510 model. The case costs about 160 USD with padded dividers, so the shipping is a killer!

He imports them or just has one for sale?

I think his company is the Brisbane importer/wholesaler (see I've never actually asked, but if it's Pelican you want, he's the man to see around these parts).
