Haha, wow, I have heard that song and it sucks...

Funny, I went in to iTunes and looked up top songs. Downloading a Jason Mraz album now! :p

A few weeks ago, I was sitting at home feeling kinda uninspired and unmotivated (unfortunate a not uncommon occurrence.) Mrs said 'go out the front and lay down on the driveway.' Her way of saying 'try looking at everyday things from a different perspective.' So I did. Here's one of the resulting pictures.

Not bad at all.

Oddly enough I spent some time laying on the ground today, but still managed to screw up the shot.

My Tassie photos leave a lot to be desired ... I've mostly been carrying my G9 (except for an e-shoot and around Cradle Mountain), and haven't been well enough for the sunrise/sunset shots I was hoping for.

Nothing worse than being sick when away from home.

Here's one I was happy with out of the G9:
ND grad on, ISO80, 1/5sec handheld. Not too shabby.

Not too shabby at all :)

Your Mrs makes good thinking!

TBH, this shot doesn't do heaps for me, mostly because there aren't enough clues to the unique perspective you were using ... were you using your 70-200? Maybe something wider would have brought in more of the context and angle.

I like the golden tinge on the leaves tho. Nice. Go lie on the ground some more :)

Hmmm, right now iTunes is playing "Noiseworks - Touch", which probably falls into the old music category these days...

I struggled with the same issue recently when I was putting together a slideshow DVD for the kids of my son's soccer team. In the end I just used some classic hard rock instrumentals.. oh well, they can always turn down the sound.

Obviously your idea of 'screw up the shot' is rather different to mine! :p

Yeah, basically lying on the ground with the 70-200 looking for inspiration. That one wasn't particularly inspired, but I still felt like I'd pulled something from nothing. :)

Missed the focus on the eye... But then, I was holding the camera with one hand, flash with the other, and trying not to spook the bee.

Yeah I realised that when I had a second look. Still a great shot though. I'd love to get into macro at some point.
