On another note, what music are all you hip young kids listening to these days? I need something for a video and don't want to get laughed at for some old music no one knows...:p:oops:

Mammal are quite popular at the moment... I'm going through an Opeth stage again but they're kinda oldschool nowadays ;)

A few weeks ago, I was sitting at home feeling kinda uninspired and unmotivated (unfortunate a not uncommon occurrence.) Mrs said 'go out the front and lay down on the driveway.' Her way of saying 'try looking at everyday things from a different perspective.' So I did. Here's one of the resulting pictures.

I like the idea behind doing this - get out and do it some more! :D

I saw these ones, not a bad option at almost 1/2 price of pelican when you consider shipping cost to OZ. Only thing with this ones is no rolley wheels. For home storage or throw-in-the-back-of car jobs it might be perfect though.

Im now considering getting something like a thinktank for Aeroplane travel (since it looks like a normal bag i believe) that way noone will think it weighs 20Kg.

Then for home storage, something like what you've listed above. What do you reckon? ok plan?

Is there anywhere to buy Permacel Professional Grade Gaffer Tape in Australia? I usually go BH Photo but can't afford the postage and costs at this time. I want good quality, removable gaffer tape, and hope to avoid that $5 stuff from Dick Smith Electronics (though to be honest haven't tried it yet)

I searched for Permacel on Google for like half an hour and only US results...3 at that :)

I can't believe such a quality product is not available here, it's absolutely awesome (but expensive)

Would you mind getting something for me in the order - around $100-ish? I'll pm you if you've got $$ room. I recently made an order, but the tripod bag didn't fit in the under $1000 mark with the bad exchange rate.

I found a Canon competition advertised in todays MX Newspaper, it might be old news for everyone except me... but just in case here is the link (external link). Basically you register online and Canon will send you 5 items in a box, then you have to photograph them in a creative way. Theres $50,0000 worth of prizes to be won.

Thanks for the tip! You're not the furthest behind the times.... Doesn't say the pics have to taken in Oz? I'll be in Nepal in October.

I'm about to order some batteries from Servaas (along with a charger if anyone wants some).

It'll cost about $18 a pack with plastic cases (I think) for Imedions. Ordering from there cos I want the charger. Freight is charged on the charger so batteries are freightless (supposedly).

Will order in about 20 mins.
