Well SportsShooter.com is always a great place for good sports shots but here is an idea for Photo5 if anyone can execute it? http://www.sportsshooter.com …winning_image.html?id=894 (external link)

Did no-one else notice Angus' pun here? :p

no links sorry :p
got some great news though, the guy who runs the event (its like a muso's night) is going to record an album for free :D

he obviously wants to get me out playing more and i'd love to so its a win win ;) gahh! SO exited!

i'll get to design the album cover and do all the graphic side of it, i'll show everyone as its being put together.

i'll upload the tracks when they're done so you all have a listen too :D

awesome news! Keen to hear the tracks, too!

Yeh but its sort of worth picking up 3 or so 8gb cards waiting a while then selling them?

I still wouldn't buy a 16GB for fear of having it fail and losing 16gb of photos all in one hit... though with the advent of >20mp cameras it's probably going to be a case of 16G being the new 8G in not too long when it comes to the number of photos you'd actually lose :p

yeah im really not a fan of the super high GB cards, plus it looks cooler if you have 8 x 2gb cards than one 16gb :p

im guessing sandisk are bringing out some new super speed CF card to replace all the ones they're selling??

I've shot 14GB in one all-day all-night event (including briefly ducking off to a second event to get a stack of social and live shots) with the ~13mb RAW files my camera does... that's the most I've ever shot, though - there were just so many things happening that even taking a few of each and a few to be safe of various things it added up to a lot by the end of the day.

Covering something like BDO adds up to a heck of a lot, too...
