yeah im really not a fan of the super high GB cards, plus it looks cooler if you have 8 x 2gb cards than one 16gb :p

+1 I stick to 4g cards though...Allows for about 200 raw immages which is plenty for me at the moment. I just need a few cause I leave them everywhere except my camera and/or bag.

I've shot 14GB in one all-day all-night event (including briefly ducking off to a second event to get a stack of social and live shots) with the ~13mb RAW files my camera does... that's the most I've ever shot, though - there were just so many things happening that even taking a few of each and a few to be safe of various things it added up to a lot by the end of the day.

Covering something like BDO adds up to a heck of a lot, too...

BDO?

yeah im not too shutter happy, though 10gbs of cards only gets.. 600ish shots on the 5D in raw.. pretty depressing lol, specially when i've got a 2 week trip to the barrier reef coming up :D:D

Big Day Out... all-day festival with many, many bands and interesting crowd/other event things to shoot.

I got by with 2G and the 20D for a loooong time... then 6G (a 4G and 2G)... now my cam holds 2x 8G cards and RAW files that are anything up to twice the size of the 20Ds. I'd like a couple of spare cards for those long trips and long days as backup.

I suppose it's really designed for those who need to have both zooms out at once like PJs - it probably doesn't has half as much point to people who wander around with most of their gear in the backpack and only one camera/lens out at once.

The 16GB Sandisk is out of stock according to Adorama - does anyone know if the rebate will still hold true if it's backordered?

Would love to get 3x CF cards. Two for myself and one for a friend of mine.

I was thinking the same thing for covering events until I saw the price tag and decided that it wasn't all that necessary... $250 US plus shipping is more than I want to pay for a bag that isn't essential :D
