I suppose it's really designed for those who need to have both zooms out at once like PJs - it probably doesn't has half as much point to people who wander around with most of their gear in the backpack and only one camera/lens out at once.

But alot of PJs probably wont put the gear away to travel home or to the office they will keep it out, However i do see the market for people in larger cities or the "bad" parts of town. But what if you want o leave the speedlight in the bag :p

I want one already.

Can never have too many bags, right?

HAHAHA you're starting to sound like my mum, with handbags

Speaking of man-bags, I'm looking for a backpack-style back to hold all my gear - currently I have stuff split up into two Lowepro Nova5 AWs. Any suggestions?

I still wouldn't buy a 16GB for fear of having it fail and losing 16gb of photos all in one hit... though with the advent of >20mp cameras it's probably going to be a case of 16G being the new 8G in not too long when it comes to the number of photos you'd actually lose :p

I can understand that, but when was the last time you had a card actually fail? I guess it's possible, but I've never had it happen to me.

Jim G wrote in post #6420629 (external link)
I've shot 14GB in one all-day all-night event (including briefly ducking off to a second event to get a stack of social and live shots) with the ~13mb RAW files my camera does... that's the most I've ever shot, though - there were just so many things happening that even taking a few of each and a few to be safe of various things it added up to a lot by the end of the day.

Covering something like BDO adds up to a heck of a lot, too...

Sounds like you need one of those little portable download thingys.

The 16GB Sandisk is out of stock according to Adorama - does anyone know if the rebate will still hold true if it's backordered?

I'd assume so, but only if they come in before the rebate finishes, which is only the 11th of Oct.. I kinda doubt your chances..

I'd just like to randomly point out that gear lust from NSWESP has manifested itself mildly here.

Hmmmmm.

*goes to look at gear list* Edit: ALL of it!? Karachi Outpost may hold all that... you'd have to do some searching on cambags.com. Are you really going to want to walk around with all that weight on your back?

Haven't had one fail yet - by the same token I haven't had a HDD fail yet but I still back my stuff up. Same reason I have a backup battery to my 1D even when it gets a stupid 5k shots to one charge... I never go through that many photos in one day but I'd look mighty silly were I to have it fail and have no backup.

I don't have any rules to obey.

My photos are already selling :p

There was also your pursuit of gain via memory card acquisition and sale ... hardly becoming for a recovering gear collector ;)

I only mentioned the cards as a means of making money to save, not necisarily for camera stuff.

My photos are also already selling, although not as much

Depends on how you look at lust - Biblically, even looking at another woman (another lens? :p) with impure thoughts is considered lust...
