I'm researching tripods for all purposes including macro work - which are 50% of my pics. So low-down ability would be very good to have. Does anyone have experiences to share with the Gitzo Explorer series?
I'm looking at the GT2530 or so range, as the tripod won't be used if it's too heavy to take hiking. And one I don't have to bend down too much (I'm 1.6m). I've already spent $120 on a crap short, flimsy tripod previously, so this time I'm willing to splurge to get something that meets all my needs.
If anyone has other tripod suggestions, please feel free.
