I think I would have done something with the blown-out sky first, maybe tinted it a light blue, it is a bit distracting. Other than that I like it, is that the watercolor effect?

Mike

thats a large white marquee tent behind
the painting effect is a little sloppy in parts.I used 'brush strokes' in elements. different to what I usually (try and) do lol
the red seems to be leaking here and there  but then I left it as 'paintings' can sometimes have the weird look with colours and faces blurred or blobbed lol .........attention to be drawn to the main subject....... in this case the red dress (more or less)

:)

You know, it strikes me that if you really want to get experimental, you could apply the paint effects to her and mask off the rest of the image. The juxtaposition would be quite striking, I suspect.

I was just going home after chatting to her and her friends when I looked around she was going wild (the music was great. lol)
so the camera came out quick (again)

gulp
I really wanted her among the crowd yet to 'stand out' as I always like to have the whole scene in a picture as much as possible.
otherwise its like she is a cut out not showing the atmosphere around which also shows why she was like she was... among friends having a good time and not just herself there
many thanks jblaschke

thats a real wowie . terrific
it shows a feeling of speed too
thank you kingsown

bad and all as the other is I like the people around her and the background which happens at the time when taking a photograph
in a way she seems to be skating or falling/sliding dangerously in the version you have shown but its very well done

I guess we have to try and make the most of what we capture without changing things too much
when I take a picture ..somewhere at the back of my head is the thought : when I am gone {:(} lol.......... the pictures will show what happened at a certain time and place and 'how it was then' (as in 'now') for people of the future in a different time and place who just may be interested in 'the past'
which is the 'now' to us
and which will not last forever

I really like your shot Marie, the colours are so vibrant and the effect you have done really depicts a lot of movement. A very fun shot. Wonderful job as usual. :D

I don't know how I missed this one. Reminds me of a 30s flapper! Very fun!
