Battery Care and Charging

I guess I am not choosing good terms to look for in the search function so can anyone help me out please? A few months back, there was a recommendation of a book that covered the various types of battery chemistry and the methods best suited to charging and using these cells. I even found it on Amazon at the time and my searches there don't seem to be doing too well either.

Anyone remember this thread or better still, who the author of the book was?
