Canon A95 Video Capture Question

I have a Canon A95 camera and it has been a gem of a camera so far. I love its flexibility and performance.

My question is about the video capture mode where I mostly am forced to use the 320*240 resolution simply because it allows me to capture 3 full mins of video.

I would very much like to use the higher 640*480 resolution capture option, however, the software only allows 60 seconds worth of video in this mode and then cuts off the clip.

Is there any way to get around this hard-cutoff? I am thinking they implemented this when the memory cards had much smaller data capacity, but now with the 2 and 4 GB cards going for dirt cheap, I think the storage capacity is no longer an issue.

My goal is to capture up to 3 mins of uninterrupted video at 640*480 resolution.

I stand to be corrected but I don't believe the A95 is supported by CHDK. In which case there is nothing that I'm aware of that will get around the video limit of the A95. :(
