Anglesey is a long way from Norfolk - 8 hour drive in the race car transporter so we went on Friday and camped. Unlike many circuits they have hot showers which is nice.

Anglesey's main feature is that its right on the coast - about 100 yards from it! This means there can be some stunning views, but it also means that it can be cold, wet and windy and the weather can change very quickly.

Here is a map of the circuit. Was totally rebuilt in 2006-2007. I've marked in
blue where I stood. The blue at the bottom is where the sea is. We were on the Coastal circuit rather than using the international loop. The circuit has 4 configurations and can hold races on two circuits at once with seperate pits and startline.

Whilst its a long way from virtually anywhere, on a nice day there is some fantastic scenery. There is little in the way of MSV style catch fencing, so good possibilities from the public areas (the right hand side of the circuit around to the Bookatrack banking. I found this banked corner a bit boring, but you can see a lot of the circuit from here so is quite popular to watch from.

We came away with two 3rd places overalls but both were class wins, and got the point for fastest lap in each race as well.

Great set of shots Andrew. The D Type Jag shot, and particularly the shot at the exit of Peel are very nice. The back drop of the latter shot is just amazing and you've made a great job of getting it into the frame and making the most of it.

Simon.

It's fabulous to see the backdrops of the sea, really unusual and fairly unique.

These are really well taken and enjoyable to look at.

Thanks for posting, and well done on your results,
Pons

What a beautiful location for a track.
The photo with car #37 is my choice. It is a good set.

The Peel shots make me think of Phillip Island. May I ask what shutter speed you were using on those ones? Thanks

C & C most welcome.

Lovely set of shots Andrew. Really almost enough to make me go there. Almost.
