Go through the thread I linked to in the previous post and also check your manual for the Custom Functions that your camera supports as I don't know if XTI supports this one. One of your menu items will cover this. On my 40 D it is C.Fn.IV-1 and then you have various options.

I started off with an XT and it supported it (called C Fn 4, also) so I'm pretty sure the XTi would also have the function.

Here is a comparison of the last image from above with one SOOC. The SOOC shot has only been cropped to same size and had the default sharpening applied in LR. No tweaks on anything else and all NR set to zero.

Hmmm....PP definitely blew the highlights, but this image wasn't that bad w/ the glow. Do you possibly have 6? That is the worst offender IMHO.
