New Puppy

One of my co-workers got a new puppy, and brought her to work to visit. Comments and suggestions always appreciated.

If he is chewing rocks now, that doesn't bode well for the mail truck he will be chasing when he gets older!

It may just be my monitor but it looks like the focus is right behind the left eye because the nose and ear are both a little softer? Maybe a greater DOF when the background is so close to the subject. ( an issue I am battling with too!)

Beautiful pup and capture. But I agree that the depth of field looks a bit too shallow. Next time, try stopping down the aperture a bit.

I also agree on the DOF but I'd also like to see some more saturation and maybe a little more contrast. It's very well composed and the pup is simply adorable, but the shot looks just a little flat.

Either way, thank you for sharing...this put a smile on both my wife's face and my own .

Thanks everyone, yes the DOF is a bit off, I agree. As for the saturation and contrast, this was actually straight out of the camera, with no PP at all. I don't have photo editing software on my computer at work. (Maybe I should see if the boss will spring for some for us?)
