Well it's good to be back and in action again after a long absence. 7 months away from home and the camera is a long time.

I stumbled across this grounded fishing boat and new it was a B&W.

Actually it's my first B&W

Hope you like.

The background is great. The boat on the otherhand looks like a botched animation job.

Thanks 126; 58..... But, sorry I don't do fakes. The BG and boat are all one scene. A single exposure with most of the PP done in the RAW converter and a little tweaking in PS, and presto.

Not saying its a fake, it just is not a normal looking scene to me.

I like this. It looks so beautifully surreal. I was totally intrigued that it ISN'T a toy boat - it does look very toyish. When I first saw it, I didn't just think "Hey, maybe it's a toy", I KNEW it was a toy. Weird. I think it has something to do with the lack of any kind of railing or masts or antennas or whatnot. Fishing boats tend to look very cluttered, normally, and this one doesn't. Anyway, it does look like something out of a dream. It sticks.

That looks really cool. It has a bit of that "fake tilt-shift model look". Great photo.

I think the smoothness of the water adds to the surrealism of the shot. I really like this one. It will be my desktop for the day.

What a great shot. That boat doesn't even look real. :)
