Hello!
Here are a few of my favorites from a head shot session I had yesterday evening with my friend and co-worker, Amy. I made a black and white / color of each image and thankfully, she's in love with them.

Lens used: Canon 50mm f/1.4 (I'm REALLY coming to LOVE this lens!)
Body: Canon 40D
Lighting: 430EX flash bounced off a piece of foam core, camera left, plus natural, evening lighting.

Enjoy!

Did you do much PP work? The B&W is nice but I think her smile and eyes in #1 and #2 really takes the cake for me. I kind of like how the DOF is a tad wider in #3 but it's a shame you don't have one with a wider DOF with that beautiful smile. Great job regardless!

Thanks for the responses, guys! Like I said, I have a BW / color of each, so I'm trying to get the best ones processed and such.

Big Apple Ken, the only PP I did was some USM mask and got rid of some peeling skin around her mouth, as well as some minor level adjusting. You'll never see overprocessing from me, lol. I also have plenty with her smiling and a wide DoF, but my personal style loves to play on depth of field, but I'll try to get some more up as I get through them :P

I am going to be the rebel here and say I like number 2. :) Number 1 seems too cold and the BW version seems to lost some details in the face. You cant see those cute little freckles on her nose and her nose seems larger and distorted in away. I am no professional so take this for what it is worth (not much LOL) just my opinion :) Great shots by the way. Gonna have to get me one of those lenses :)
