I have no experience with Canon, but I know for my Nikon and my mom's EasyShare you simply go into scene mode and then hit "fireworks." Mount on a tripod and fire away. I've gotten some really nice pictures that way.

Wow u had some really nice shots, unfortunately wit my SD750 the pics didn't look too great. They looked more like balls of light. I am still an amateur so I wasn't really sure wat settings to go wit. =(

I noticed that you were able to put ur camera into fireworks mode, papadon2000. My camera has no such function and I am still not that great at finding the right settings for nite shots. Does anyone have an SD750 and has successfully taken shots of fireworks or jest night shots in general. i could use some advice.

Shooting fireworks with any camera is basically the same. Here is a thread with some tips to try. https://photography-on-the.net/forum/showthread.php?t=341145

SD750 here, it came out as a blur. The lens can't pick up the fireworks really well. The sensor isn't good enough. I ended up recording the fireworks event with my camera instead and it was just as bad. I'll see if I can find that video to show you how it looks like. Even if you put the camera on the 15 second timer, it'll come out horribly.

Edit >> I guess this is where backups come in handy. I can't believe I deleted it or I lost it somehow.
