Yeah, it would be great if the person who lost their stuff sees these posts

On the other hand, if no one claims it then the guy who found it gets a nice reward ;)

Yeah, tell me what was found and I'll tell you if I lost it...

Seriously, I hope whoever lost the gear is able to get it back. I know I'd be sick if I did that.

I think it's Belmondo's.

Did you lose Digital Photo Professional (DPP)? Get it here (external link). Cursing at your worse-than-a-map reflector? Check out this vid! (external link)

Good on this guy for doing the right thing. I think I'll make up some labels for my gear. Might help if someone honest finds it!

Same here. It's probably also good to stick a note in there about a reward if found, maybe $300 or so + shipping costs. It may give an incentive to someone who's on the fence about going through the trouble of boxing up and shipping your gear to you. And if that were to ever happen, always make sure you tell the person to go to Kinkos and get it shipped properly. Someone found a USB drive of mine once and found my contact info on one of the word documents. But unfortunately they shipped it in standard letter envelope with no protection and it arrived in pieces.

But unfortunately, there's always the chance that someone will keep it and decide to e-bay it all :( Sucks that there's scum like that in this world. At least this guy did the right thing.

I added the Digg page and the dpreview forum posting to Stumbleupon so if you're checked off for Photo Gear you'll probably see it come around if you Stumble.

Hopefully, they LOOKED for the person...maybe he or she took a spill. Can't see walking away from a bag of gear for any other reason...
