Which do you prefer and why not the other? How can I improve the one you do like (assuming you like either one :)).

Thanks.

That is a beautiful view and the shot has a ton of potential. What I really like about it is that there is something to look at everywhere in the photo, without any one component overpowering any other.

For me, I don't care for the amount of Cyan cast in the first presentation. I would tone that down a lot. The second offering is better in that respect, but doesn't well show the "low light" aspect of the shot, as there is not much range in luminosity from spot to spot in the photo.

I pulled it into PS, and played with the color cast and the local contrast.

As always, prefaced with "If it were my shot...", but this is the direction I would head.

Rad

i like radtech1's take on it but id dodge the rocks and water a bit so they are not soo dark. hmm same with the trees, just a bit too dark but easy fix.

overall, nice eye catching shot!!

Huh? You been there? I'm actually standing on it.

What do you think of these? If EXIF hasn't been stripped, it's behind by 12 hours. Shots were actually taken around 9:30 PM.

Pretty hideous color casts, do you have a calibrated monitor?

P.S. Is that you in your avatar? Nice hat, I'm wearing mine right now (BBR 04)

Yes calibrated and yes me. You'll notice the lights are pretty yellow there. The shots of the bridge were just quickly thrown up for LD. I'll keep your comment in mind if I decide to do anything more with the bridge.

The hat is one of a kind (I have a number of them), it has no event on it and has an alligator on the back with my first initial on it's T-Shirt. We were on a Martin 242 that we managed to con the local Mount Gay rep to sponsor us for a year. Lots of rum!

Better, still has a cyan cast, something in between your latest and rad's would look good I think.

If it were me personally, I'd go pretty dark with it just to contrast the lights.

Nah, you told me the name of the Dam, and I googled it I wanted to see the area with the satellite map. :)
