I just recently became aware of how slingshot camera bags really work. After finding this out, I have been on a search to find the perfect one for me.
I currently use a small Tamrac Advneture 4 bag. The Tamrac holds all my gear fine, but for me to carry extra batteries I find myself needing to attach a point and shoot camera case to the side, and store batteries and other fairly large items in it, and this is rather annoying. So I am thinking about the Lowepro Slingshot 200 AW bag. It looks like it can hold all my gear with room for another lens\flash! It also has the nice and big upper section to store water, food, clothes, or larger accessories. I searched the forum for reviews, and I failed in finding any! So my question to the owners of this bag is:
1) Do you think it could hold all my gear easily?
2) How do YOU like the bag?
3) Is there a place to store accessories in the bag, besides the upper section?
My current gear is in my sig, but here is what I will be storing in this bag:
- Canon EOS 40D w\ 50 1.4 attached (Small zoom lens once I purchase it (Will be the 17-55 or 24-70).
- Canon EF 28-80mm f/3.5-5.6
- Sigma 70-300mm f/4-5.6 w/ Hood reversed
- Canon 430EX w/ Diffuser
- Extra AA Batteries
- Giottos Medium Rocket Blower
- Manuals
- Paper, Pen, Pad
- Business Cards
- Small flashlight
When I do buy new equipment, it will replace my current equipment. For example, my next lens purchase will be the 17-55mm f/2.8 IS, or the 24-70 f/2.8L. This lens will replace me 28-80mm, after that comes the 70-200 2.8, that will replace my 70-300, ect.
Thanks in advance!
