The latest member of the Sigma 500 f4.5 EX club has beaten me to the punch, so i'll spare you the waffle and share a few images...You'll have to excuse the lack of variety as i spent the whole of the day (all 2 hours of it) talking to a strange bloke with a big grin on his face. Something about a new lens apparently..

1. Pilbeam MP88

Once again it's a 1DMK2N / Sigma 500 EX / Tog 24 Waterproofs and Met Office (grrr) production.

Ta for 'avin' a look. Chatter away as you wish.

I am surprised the glint off of his pearly whites didn't blind the drivers... has the new lens broken him of has bag photographing habit or is he still at it?

These are excellent, Geoff. The rain helps as ever. I love shooting cars in the rain.

I didn't see any bag photography going on, but as i arrived "fashionably late" i may well have missed it...i did however see the grin on his face from the top of the hill :D

I couldn't help thinking that's pretty much how F1 cars used to look not too long ago....

Thanks for the comments chaps :)

Great shots Geoff, shame about the weather, but they look all the better don't they?
btw - thats my neighbor in the Gould, or rather his old-man by the looks of it.

A bit of rain always adds an extra something to the shots, i can't disagree with that. But when you have a strong wind blowing it straight at you, and more importantly, straight at your lens, it gets a bit tedious after a while :D

I dare say your neighour (or his old man) will be returning home ever so slightly wet after this event ;)

Cheers for the comments.

Great set of shots. I do think the driver in #4 needs to watch the track more and you less.

He had a pair of 500's pointed straight at him, as Simon Harrison was next to me with his new toy..

Must have been like staring down the barrels of a couple of Howitzers :D

Cheers for the reply :)

A nice selection Geoff. That Anglia was hilarious! It was a shame the weather was so poor and that I had to leave early to plumb a dishwasher in. Hopefully see you at Croft later on today.

Simon.
