So besides the distracting background and the few blown parts of the bike tail and the frame what do you think of this shot/edit?

Very nice, but I don't think I would go for selective color. Maybe a partially desaturated background, or perhaps a cross-processed background, or some type of "grunge". As is, I don't think the background works with the shot, especially the font.

I have to agree with you on the font, I'm not too crazy about it but my brother chose it as he knows who I made it for best.

Could you fill me in on what a cross-processed background is? I've never heard of it before.

What editing software are you using?

Cross Processing is an old film term for when c-41 film was processed in Ektachrome chemicals and vice versa. Take a look at "Urban Acid" here: http://www.atncentral.com/download.htm (external link) which approximates the look of a cross process. Replacing your monochrome background with one like that is what I was recommending.

Okay I see what you mean now. I'm using GIMP by the way. Thanks for the ideas.
