I have purchased a 17-40 l and I am wondering if anyone knows where I can find the case for it. The case is Lens case LZ 1319. I have searched B&H but they do not offer it. Any ideas?

Try www.keh.com (external link). They might carry the one that you are looking for in their used department.

Sorry that is the little pos case that comes with the lens. The one that I am looking for looks just like the one that comes with the 100-400mm L only smaller. Thanks for the response though.

IMO, before I would get a specialized case like that, I would consider, for a few (but not a lot) more $$s, the Domke F-5XB

It is actually big enough for a 100-400 lying down....or, with velco attached partitions, 2-3 lens depending on their width.

It can be on supplied strap or attach to a belt.

as far as i know, there is no such thing as a LZ1319.
The only "zipper" cases that canon has are the LZ1128, LZ1132, LZ1324.
the 1128 is for the 300 f/4L.
the 1324, you already have with your 100-400
and the 1132 fits the 400 f/5.6

canon dont make smaller zip cases, so you will have to get a lowepro lens case or similar.

The problem with the 17-40 in a case is that the hood is so wide, and you probably don't need it so a smaller case is okay. I just use the one that came with the lens new, but if I had to put it in something to put in a bag, I'd get one of those magic Domke cloths that wrap anything and has velcro.

It is on Canon's site under supplies and accessories for 17-40, 16-35, 10-24:
