well i got asked to dance at a wedding...it really took my by surprise. i did feel back for the girl when i turned her down, but i was working...and in the middle of doing ring shots...
i really did not want to for a couple of reasons:
1. i am there working, being paid to work and w/ the exception of grabbing a bite to eat and something to drink i really dont think i should be "part" of the wedding...
2. I am a horrible dancer
I wonder what will happen if a super hot girl ever asks me to dance...it may override numbers 1 and 2....i know, very unprofessional...
I have actually had this happen to me more then once... from as awkward as them just coming up and dancing on you, to dropping more subtle hints about how "if i had a date, like you, i would actually be out on the dance floor"
But in all situations, i have had to politely decline just because of the publicity. Imagine if a guest snapped a picture of you and said something like "even our photographer was having a great time partying..." or something like that, it would not look professional...which is the same reason i wont drink at a wedding, but that is a differient issue.
