I currently have a Canon 40D and am looking for a flash setup for it.
Would this setup work well? I am just trying to figure out what to get.

Speedlite 580EX II Flash

Speedlite transmitter st-e2

Flash Diffuser Dome for Canon SPEEDLITE 580EX II

Thanks

They are all Canon, they should or better be working well together :) What are you going to shoot with that setup?

I personally would never bother with an ST-E2, i'd rather have another flash. ETTL triggering is reasonably reliable indoors, and questionable outdoors. You need direct line of sight between the master and slaves, so if you have a slave camera left and one camera right you need to use a wide beam to trigger, which sometimes fails especially on sunny days.

Wow, you got some fantastic shots in you website. You don't need no stinky flash :) j/k

Like Tim said, ST-E2 is not that reliable outdoors under the sun. That's why I was asking.
