Hi all,
Just wondering could I get a bit of feedback on my newly designed business card. All feedback much appreciated.

The back is nice enough, but the front doesn't do anything for me.

YOU might recognize it (as would most of us) but my wife wouldn't have a clue and most non-camera folks wouldn't either.

Its part of my logo so I wanted to use it. But yes, the front design has me stumped. I cant figure out how to incorporate the logo.

Ahhh... I didn't realize it was your logo. Definitely makes a difference with your name there, it becomes a logo instead of an abstract design.

I like it. It's simple. I'm not sure about the centering the graphic/name/photography though. Maybe something like this?

LOL Thats actually much better than the way I have it. If you look at my site and blogpage, could I get away with leaving the logo the way it is on them but have the business card slightly different, like youve done it. Continuity and all that. Otherwise its a complete remake of all graphics.... ;) (and ive deleted some source files...!)

If it were ME, I'd stick with one or the other for continuity sake. I like either one, but my preference is a graphic first and then the text. That's usually how I design logos for me and others. :D

Yeah, that's what I was thinking. Appreciate that, cheers. :)
EDIT: Changed all the graphics, much better. Thanks again.

YOU might recognize it (as would most of us) but my wife wouldn't have a clue and most non-camera folks wouldn't either.

On the contrary - this is one of the better cards shown in these forums.
Clean, and to the point.

The front has a minimalist look and as a photo editor for a major publisher, this is the photographer I would choose over the others.
Why? because that minimalist look tells me something about the photographer and their sense of style.

Unlike the ones clustered with all they forms of photography they do gets nauseating.

Also, it has a good logo and it says "photography" so what's to guess?

^I'm pretty sure what you quoted was talking about the front BEFORE the edit. Could be wrong.

Really appreciate the feedback, thanks friend. The comment you quoted was indeed before I updated the front image and trust me, it wasnt near as effective as it is now!! Thanks again. :D
