Awesome shots. This is why I always tell people it's not the gear.

I was shooting a Little League All-Star Baseball tourney and had a guy tell me that he didn't think his XTi was up to shooting sports/fast action. I told him to take the time to learn the camera and he could push it to do that and more. You have proven that the XTi is an awesome camera and I'm going to share this thread with him. Thanks for sharing.

Excellent shots! How on earth do you get sharp pictures with a 1/60 shutter speed at 400mm? Tripod?
