^Sounds pretty selfish not respecting someone's beliefs. Get over it and move on. Yes it is more than likely a cultural thing and they could be Muslim. Still, deal with it and maybe learn to stop taking photos of them.

My editor will love that.

"How the hell did you get NO photos?"

"Oh, well some people at POTN suggested that I needed to be absolutely sure everybody I came across had written permission!"

If you have a problem with a thread or post, then you only have to click the report post button. It is the little read triangle under a users avatar.

However, all I see so far is a posting having a problem taking photos of people and getting their permission to print the photos.
I will however add a reminder that we do not allow religious or political discussions here.
As long everyone thinks before they post there won't be any problems

With regard to the original problem:
I know plenty of Indian women, from a variety of places in India with a variety of backgrounds, and none of them have objected to being photographed, or mentioned anything that would indicate an objection to it.

That doesn't mean these students do not have a legitimate reason why they don't a photo of themselves published.

So long and thanks for all the flash

Why would they? It's a legitimate question by the OP.

I am pretty sure, it has nothing to do with any religion. It could possibly be because of so many morphed images floating on net these days. I think girls dont want their pics uploaded on internet, as they fear it might be used in wrong sense.
