OK, so i'm going from an S3IS to:

(just ordered today)
Canon 40D
Tamron 17-50mm f/2.8
Canon 70-200 f4L w/ UV filter
Canon 200EG backpack/bag
(2) Sandisk 2GB's

I got it from Amazon, but its coming from 4 different places so I WILL HATE the few days i have Misc parts coming :evil:

BUT I CANT WAIT!

Congrats...and you will be happier than ever (camera wise). I jumped from a S3IS to 30D...and the leap was HUGE!!!

I love my 40d, unfortunatly, my lense and my camera came on 2 diff days, being the lense first lol.

yea, i was just sick of being held back from some things with the S3. its a great P&S camera, i just outgrew it.

I'm ready to be able to ask and answer questions on here, i've done reading, now i can participate!

I remember the tiny LCD viewfinder on the S3IS. It was absolutely the worst in the world. The 40D will be a huge step up for you.

I would recommend bigger CF cards in the near future. If you shoot RAW a 2 GIG card will only hold about a hundred shots. Definitely think about 4 GIGS or bigger.
