I've been practicing a bunch, but had 2 great opportunities to shoot last night...a mud puddle and 5 week old puppies.

I'd loveeeeee some cc, but do be gentle...this was my first time really shooting in raw and pp'ing. The first three were taken using the built-in flash for fill w/the 18-55mm lens and the last 2 were taken w/the 70-300mm, all natural lighting.

I like the last one, but the first couple all seemed to be cropped too tight.

You might consider a little less intrusive watermark as well.

newb here everytime I process raw it doesn't turn out nearly as nicely. I'm going to have to work on them.

I like #1 -- be aware of the joints -- she's cut at wrist, which you want to avoid.

#2 and #3 are okay -- the gentleman in the photo "changes color", which you want to watch when presenting photos in a set.

#4 -- Very clever! Nice composition.

I would suggest a different watermark, or drop it altogether for this type of set. Family photography is not generally stolen a great deal.

Thank you! Yes, I'm still learning to process raw files consistently with CS3.

I actually wanted to leave her other foot in the shot for #1, but she had a toy in her hand and it looked really odd in the pic....I will post a shot of it later on. I do appreciate the suggestions very much!
