hello everyone mike here first time posting here from south boston VA.
i am shooting with a canon xti with kit lens waiting to get me a new lens soon.
wow everybody has got some great shots this for thread and i am learning alot from reading everybody posting. looking forward to posting some more shots soon. comments welcome, happy shooting:)

Pre Sonoma Test, eh?

Looking good but I'd rather see them in full color rather than selective.

Good framing in #1 to get Mr. Kahne in front of the suites(?)
Nice dynamic image in #2 with Mr. Shrub on three wheels (maybe crop it a bit tighter...)

You've just reminded me that my NASCAR season ends this weekend (Happy Dance!!)

Welcome to POTN and to Motorsports. I think the composition in these are nice and a great catch in #2. I have to agree with FlyingPhotog though, the desaturated backgrounds aren't the best for motorsports.

can look cool in some cases just not this one. Number 2 has some potential though

thanks guy for the comments guy first try at desaturated backgrounds but you're right color works better with motor sports thanks

you can sightly desat it..... but full on BW doesn't really work.

I think #2 would be better if you cropped it a bit, i dont like selectivecoloring in most motorsport pictures, think they would look better in full color.
