Wow - great images of a great tennis match! My favourite is #5 - love the pose and expression ! Would love to see some of RF in a similar pose ! Somehow I keep going back to look at #1 - that looks great as well.

You can see a more complete set (around 90 shots) if you follow the link to my gallery in my signature, it's the first gallery, you can't miss it.

The reason a lot of these are B&W is that the light at the end of play (when a lot of the shots were taken) was very poor and the colour versions of those shots look a bit average. Also with B & W the 1600 ISO grain actually adds to the atmosphere while on the colour versions it detracts from the image.

Plenty of colour shots in the full album.

Awesome shots mate, well done!

It's funny people keep posting about having problems getting cameras into Wimbledon, have there been problems in the past?

It was my first year there and I took my 450D, the kit lens, a nifty fifty and a 75-300mm lens in a camera bag, had it checked at security and nobody batted an eyelid. Have others had difficulties?

Getting number 6 was such great luck for it to happen in front of your seats. Great shots!
#6 is one to get a large print of for the wall and my fave as well!

Thank you for uploading this set. Your color treatment is really spectacular, and it adds a drama that is quite appropriate for a match of this caliber. These are the first images of the final that I've had the heart to view, and I see you've done great work with them.

Amazing! My only critique is that number 4 is upside down.

Izzy, thanks for the compliments! I shot all these in jpeg (took 1100 photos which would have been about 12-14gb if I'd shot RAW). I love tahat shot of the ball fazz as well, I'll post it here for all to see.

Amazing!!

What was your workflow to transition them to B&W? Good choice BTW, they look awesome, and I agree about the high ISO looking like old B&W film grain in some of the shots...
