I have an Eos 450d
will the RC-1 remote work with it out of the box or do I need to do technical things. I assume the camera has a built in reciever?
yes i know i'm thick but help would be appreciated

I believe you have to turn it a remote IR shooting mode though, the same setting as the one that sets the timer. It has been a while since I have used an RC1 though.
