Nice shots! I've been meaning to get up to that overlook on Mulholland above the Hollywood Bowl and get some pictures like your first one. One of these days... Welcome to the forum!

The shot of downtown is from Mount Washington and yes it is raining in Los Angeles...non stop

Where is Mount Washington? I'm not familiar with that one. (Pretty strange coming from me -- a Southern California mountain I haven't heard of?!?)

Mount Washington is near Echo Park and is very large and almost as high as Griffith Park with some interesting history
