I am hoping someone can help me to ID this fly.
Found it in Druridge Bay Northumberland, in the UK. It was on Nettles and in a coastal habitat, and i have since seen it at one other venue.

Bit hard to tell from that angle, but looks to me like some sort of picture wing fly. Sorry, Brian "LordV" is the fly expert. Sure he'll be along shortly... :)

LOvely capture- took some pics of a similar one yesterday. It's a picture wing fly- Tephritidae.
