I found this at the Gratiot-Eastpoint Cruiz.
Dan Jr bought his '46 Ford Coupe from his father Danny & it's been in their family for 7 years.
It has a 355cid 0.30 over motor & 350 transmission pushing a Chevy 12-bolt 4:11 rear end.
The paint is Lambo red & blue pearl over rhino white. (I couldn't see the blue, either!) ;)

Here's his fathers '47: '47 Chevy Aero Sedan 502

That's his fathers '47 in the background. I'll post it next weekend.

Can't see the exhaust tips on the last, shadow detail is pretty weak. Nice exposure on the white paint given the angle of the sun.

Now, if they guy could found a nicer way to mount his gauges... LOL!

And once upon a time I used to live in EAST DETROIT... before they got all uppity and renamed it Eastpoint... LOL!

Flare from the bright outside & black hole inside.

Now, if they guy could found a nicer way to mount his gauges...

With the exception on no tach in the steering column, that's how it was done then. I had the same thing in a couple of my cars.

I used to live in EAST DETROIT...

With that name, I wouldn't live there either. ;)

Thanks for the comments. And mlav, I'll be sure to bring out the phallic exhaust extensions next time... just for you. :D

Nice, nice.

A comment on the gauges: I think this car already HAS gauges, and possibly the owner slung those temporarily under the dash, until he can get time/ money to revamp the factory gauges. Getting proper senders for those old girls, or even getting them to work accurately AT ALL is a real challenge.

At best, they were pretty small & not too reliable. I always liked to know that the oil pressure was right where it was yesterday. ;)

old beautiful huge car

Do you have any of these over there, Marie?

Again, thanks for the comments.

Nice effect, Marie. It looks like a chalk drawing on canvas.
Did you see his fathers '47? I put the link in the first post.
