Hello all,

I'm a newb to studio lighting, glad you all are here to help. I'm going to be purchasing some Calumet Genesis strobes. I aslo want a softbox. Is the Speedring the only way to attach a softbox to a strobe?

If so, are speedrings pretty universal, or do I need to purchase it from calumet to match the Genesis strobes?

Thanks

Yes, speedring is the way to mount a softbox to a strobe. You will need a speedring with an "Elinchrom" mount.

Here is the one you will need:

Photoflex Speed Ring Octo Connector for Elinchrom (external link)
