My first post here. I hope to be doing correctly.

I'm beginning now in the branch of the picture and this I did with my first camera, the compact A470.

Two months ago, starting from a mental shine, in one night that I didn't want to sleep, I planned an improvised studio to the small white moth, and the result surprised me!

The clearness didn't displease me, even so I liked that!
Which is the friends' opinion?

Here it is two photos of the studio.

Notice the dramatic change in color between the picture of the moth and the pictures of the macro studio. The yellow ball in the studio shots changes to an orange ball when using the flashlight.

I suspect that you were using a White Balance setting the same for all shots. I also suspect that you were using the flashlight to illuminate the moth.

The White Balance setting must be incorrect for the macro shot of the moth. I would suggest that a better color balance will be obtained when the White Balance is set for "Tungsten", if the flashlight is being used to illuminate the moth.

Yes!

What happened was that I used a light purposely low-K (the small flashlight with low batteries that appears in the photos of the studio).

The effect reddish, but I'm not sure now whether it was appropriate for the moment, at least was provided by me. I wanted to do different something there.

I do not know if it was good, but I knew that this would happen! The fact is that it was not because of the White Balance, though it seems.

Very interesting - thanks much for explaining. Of course, I'm happy to know that my guesses were accurate.

Insofar as what is correct or right - the artist is the one with the final say, and that's my saying for today:lol:
