what's the biggest compact flash card you can use in canon 400d or would i be better of sticking to 3x2gb that i use now..

Look at it this way: a single 16 gb card is 4 times more likely to crap out on you than any of your 4 x 4 GB cards are. And it would take 4 times more shots with it when it goes.

buy two 8gb sandisk iv. they have a $75 dollars rebate :)

I love my 4 gb ones, because it doesn't crash my laptop.

Go with 4GB cards, they are the best bang for the buck right now
