I too have a rider with USAA. Currently I have about $4000 insured and I pay $40 per year. I need to add a few new lenses to it, but I would not live without it. I feel much more secure when I travel to take all of my gear out with me. If it is broken, stolen, etc, it is replaced at 100%. I do not beleive that I have a deductable, but they will not cover anything valued at under $100. The nice thing with USAA is that I can log onto my account and add all of my equipement w/ serial numbers, a description, and the value and don't have to worry about someone else doing it for me.

State Farm's is called a "Personal Articles Policy" and is $1.20 per $1000 of gear. So a $2,000 camera would cost $24/year to insure.
