Thanks, I cropped the hands in pockets one down to "John Hughes" ratio.

Wonderful series. The use of natural and old settings are great.

1. Nice capture. DoF is too shallow. Non-photographers expect both people to be sharp; especially since she is more the focus and he the sidelight.

2. I like it. Needs a horizon tilt to straighten it.

3. Meh. Wide angle gives him huge feet and the rest of the composition doesn't do much for me.

4. Great. Very natural looking without venturing into Menthol cigarette ad territory.

5. Well, yea... very 70's I guess. How about color with a old photo tint shift?

6. Nice.

7. I understand not wanting them centered but this feels unbalanced. Could probably be improved with another crop. I think the line of 1/3rds on the right side is falling between them which is distracting.

Hoff - thanks for the comments...and yes 5 was supposed to a little more 80's than 70's but non the less.

Ill take a look at number 7 and see if i can improve. I totally agree on number 1 but she looks so great in that picture that i just cant resist liking that one.
