Whew, i just got the monopod, came in very good packaging. Came with a high quality padded nylon case, inside was the monopod, and stud removal tool.

The monopod itself is very light, the diameter of the shaft is very big. The twist locks are rubber coated (prior models did not have this), the mounting surface is cnc'd aluminum very thick, and the shaft is smooth with a slight texture.

Its very well constructed, i had an amvona one before and it was ok, but you can tell the build quality of this pod is far superior. The shaft to shaft play is very minmal, so minimal in fact that it doesnt wiggle at all, when teh shaft is pulled out, it even has a slight airhiss from how tight the tolerances are.

I ordered it on Satuday received it today. Ordered from ReallyBigCameras.com, a Feisol US stocked dealer. All in all im very happy with my purchase. $109 for an awesome monopod that will hold up my 120-300IS and 40d with grip perfectly. BTW i went with teh bigger one, because i plan on buying a Sigmonster or 400 2.8 in teh next 6 months.

Congrats on the Feisol monopod. I own a CT-3442 tripod and love it. The 1471 is probably going to be my monopod of choice too.
