Was just out playing in the yard with the dogs tonight and thought I'd set up a little course for them. I've never shot this for $$, but am looking for a trial to do in August around home here.

This is my 12.5 yr old Border Collie, although you'd never know she was that old judging by her physical shape and energy level!

The rest are of her 5 year old daughter Ginger.

Nice shots. I saw a similar program on TV and I was amazed at the agility of some of these dogs.

Just of a suggestion, on the jumping ones I would try to include the ground directly under the jump to give the feat some perspective. When I do horse shows if its a high jump they want to see how high and when its the beginners I shoot tight to 'NOT' see how high. Also the take off and the landings can make some great shots also. But great shots and by the way people love their dogs an agility show should be a nice gig.

Great shots. Nothing makes me smile like a border collie focused on a task.

Looks good! The sunlight look like it may have been harsh in some, resulting in some detail loss in some areas due to under/over exposure, perhaps.

I have a heck of a time trying to shoot my dog in the obedience or agility ring...she is all black, and I can never seem to get the metering just right!

Well done,at 200Kmh,it's a great series;)I've shown Dooley(my border) and she barked lots:lol:.I've never shot agility, but if i did,i would treat it as rugby,AI servo, center point and manual. This way,(there are a couple not quite spot on)you would be home and dry.

Very good shots, you can tell they really love what they're doing there.

HA! Those are really fun (and Good!) shots! That first shot of Ginger is too funny... so typical of their focus, isn't it?! LOL (We've had BCs for 20+ yrs.. no agility.. just working cow dogs.. but that agility looks like fun)

Lucy was a working dog way back in the day haha. I trained her on sheep and cattle in her younger days and she was very good at it. Now she just has fun being a totally spoiled, retired goofball. Ginger does look a little crazed there doesn't she? She's a bit obsessive/compulsive - typical border. I did trials with her for a couple years and she cleaned up wherever she went ;)

Great shots. If you can get a gig at a local trial, you will do well. There are many photographers shooting dog events with nowhere near the quality of these shots.
