I researched this a while back when I lived in Birmingham. I found a guy on pbase who'd shot what was an old and very run down area in '60's and 70's and 80's, but it had just stated to become trendy by the time I moved there. Amazing to see the changes from those times but also during the 18 months or so I lived there. I tried to capture lots of images but never got 'round to doing the compare and contrast thing before I moved (again!!) I might do some research around here and try again.
