Hey everyone, it’s been quite a while since I posted some of my photography work. I’ve been pretty stagnate in the photography department as of late but my trip to Alaska and especially Vancouver has sparked my interest again severely. At least that's what my 700 images on my memory cards tell me.

Anyway, I know quite a few people have been waiting for these photos. I've been working rather diligently for the past 3 days since my return home to ensure I'd get them processed and on my site quickly.

Now, the teasers are over and here is my true set of photos.

In short, I guess you guys could say I'm back!

I hope you guys enjoy:

The lineup:

God bless Kyle's soul for being daring enough to drive his beautiful car down a horribly unpaved and rough road. They made for some of the coolest automotive photos that I've ever had the chance to shoot. Thank you!

The rest of the photos can be found in my gallery on my site, located here:

I really hope you guys like the photos! I had a blast taking them.

- Chris

Nice motion shots. #5 is dramatic & I like it but would reduce the halo. This might help:

Some nice photos in there. In pic number one did you get the opposite view from the fronts of the three cars?

Very cool. What was your shutter speed on the shots when the car was moving?

Cool stuff, I'll have to check out the thread more in depth in a bit.

Thanks for the link, it seems masking with the black background is always hit or miss. Either people absolutely love it or hate it. Luckily my client ate it up heavily. I like to be a bit cautious on the masking though, I think it fits some colors / backdrops more so than others.

Personally, I really enjoy the look of it. I always keep a back up photo as well with no masking just as back up. ;) I'm covered.

Yep, it would be in my gallery if I do have any. I don't have too many photos at that particular location because the sun was pretty harsh and made the sky severely blown out. I didn't end up keeping many photos from that location, I wasn't happy with them.

I just posted 8 photos to stick to the forum guidelines.

Depends on the location, amount of available light, speed of the car, etc.

For these particular photos f/16 at 1/80. I normally shoot in manual mode always for panning photos / shadowing in another car like these but used Aperture Priority for this particular shoot. No particular reason why, I was feeling lazy.

You, my friend, live in one of the greatest cities I've ever attended. :)

Robson is money. I spent a couple days downtown and ate at my friend's restaurant, Ebisu - delicious.

Also went down to Granville and partied at Republic. The "Stag Parties" running up and down the streets are hilarious.

I'm glad you enjoyed the photos. I'll definitely be back in town eventually, I am signing contract to collaborate with a pretty well known artist in Vancouver. :)

Wow I am REALLY not a fan of verts but wow, that cab is gorgeous. Love your shots man, the only thing I can really say is get rid of some of the halos and your good to go.

I've done a few shoots in Vancouver. I would love to live there! Too bad they are crazy strict about becoming a citizen over there.
