Still working on my B&W's...

I thought that the textures in the new condo being built would work great for a B&W conversion.

Time for a little philosophy here, just came to mind. :D
What's the purpose of a photograph? Teach? Entertain? ....

I like this one because it teaches me, it says "see how it's erected, see how it's done".

As to the technical problems, like shadows and distortions, none are apparent to the untrained eye. ;)
Maybe because you so smoothly made them go away.

In all aspects technically, it's your usual great job. As an object d'art....

The things you do for yourself die with you, the things you do for others live forever.
A man's worth should be judged, not when he basks in the sun, but how he faces the storm.

Must be from our developer... look at that great pointed corner balcony with the support post taking up half the space :D

Thank you for the feedback, and kind comments, chauncey. The only real decision I had to make was whether or not to further correct the keystoning, but at the cost of the top of the construction. I felt the top of the structure was more important than a little bit of convergence :)

Hoff: Is it just me or are they building all of the new condos like that? The ones they're putting up on south False Creek have giant pillars running straight through the units as well. I guess they're for hanging pictures on :)

I don't think the buildings would stand without the pillars; they exist in place of real walls. All of our outer walls here are windows so the columns must be providing the structure. One of them takes at least 1/3 of our already small balcony but the new places going up here (CH) have larger patios now.

Looking at the photo again it seems reminiscent of how they'd build a parking garage.

That's why some people are buying multiple units and knocking down the walls between them. They're not load bearing walls to begin with...

They did that on the 13th floor of the front of my building... Nice 6 bedroom appartment.

Yes, a very expensive, glassed-in parking spot with granite countertops. That is basically what you get.

Thank you Gail. There's really no comparison to the "parking garage" condos we have today to the architecture from 1912. I am not a fan of the architectural style of todays condo's. The one I live in has the character that I enjoy.

Here's the Sun Tower from the other thread, only this one I was playing with the processing since the building is nearly 100 years old now :)

I need to find some good, stressed photo paper textures to use.
