G'Day All.
Suburban train at Newcastle Station, which is due to be closed :-(.
I'll bet these old carriages could tell a stroy or two ! This one looks to be in pretty good shape for its age.

Nice shot Steve. It's really a shame that they're going to close the line.:(

sorry about the train station closing.

I have a vague recollection of being there
I know Windsor I was in.. ..for sure

the stations over there are beautifully kept.

wondering why this one is closing.

G'Day thanks for the comments.
Marie, Newcastle is about 2 hours north of Sydney by road. Windsor is to the west of Sydney, near
the foothills of the Blue Mountains, and a nice spot too :-).

As to why its closing, just say that the line runs along some valuable waterfront real-estate :-)
But I think its a waste really to remove the rail link to the CBD of a city of over 100000 people :-).

Beautiful shot RockOne. it really is shame that they are closing the line. Hate see that happen. So many times it's happened here only to find out years later and way to late that they should have kept it going.
