im travelling abroad solo and recently bought the canon powershot s5 is.

i was wondering if there is any handheld monopod in existence that would be able to hold this camera up to take pictures of myself? i don't think there is, but i thought id ask.

if not, does anyone have any recommendations for a tripod or something that would be able to do this?

how about a gorillapod. You can wrap it around something almost everywhere. It's small and light - and cheap!
