My birding vehicle got stuck in deep mud when I stubbornly tried to access Candaba wetlands (Philippines) today even when the rains have long been around. It took about a dozen men (bless their souls) and tons of grunt before my 4x2 could be manhandled to terra firma. I got this Ixobrychus sinensis in flight as consolation.
